Terms of Use

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using The Hook Hustlers platform ("Platform"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not access or use the Platform. These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and The Hook Hustlers ("Company", "we", "us", "our").

2. Platform Description

The Hook Hustlers is an online startup-investor matchmaking platform operating in India. We connect DPIIT-verified startups with verified investors including angel investors, venture capital firms, corporate investors, government funds, and private equity firms. The Platform provides tools for matching, communication, deal tracking, and documentation.

3. Eligibility & Verification

To list as a startup on the Platform, you must:

• Be registered as a startup under the DPIIT Startup India scheme with a valid DPIIT registration number
• Upload valid DPIIT registration documents during the signup process
• Provide accurate and truthful information about your company
• Be authorised to represent the company you are registering

To list as an investor, you must provide valid LinkedIn profile and AUM (Assets Under Management) proof for verification by our team.

4. Commission & Deal Confirmation Policy

Commission rates are as follows:

• ₹1 Lakh – ₹3 Lakh: 3-4% of deal value
• ₹3 Lakh – ₹5 Lakh: 2-3% of deal value
• ₹5 Lakh – ₹10 Lakh: 1.5% of deal value
• ₹10 Lakh – ₹20 Lakh: 1% of deal value
• ₹20 Lakh – ₹50 Lakh: 0.75-1% of deal value
• ₹50 Lakh – ₹1 Crore: 0.5% of deal value
• ₹1 Crore and above: Flat fee of ₹75,000

Commission is payable by the startup within 30 days of deal confirmation on the Platform.

6. Subscription & Refund Policy

The Hook Hustlers maintains a strict NO REFUND policy on all subscription fees and membership fees. This includes:

• Startup monthly subscription fee of ₹499/month
• Investor annual membership fee of ₹4,599/year
• Post-deal continuation fee of ₹4,599/month

Subscriptions may be cancelled at any time to prevent future charges. No refunds will be issued for any period already paid, whether used or unused.

7. Prohibited Conduct

Users must not:

• Provide false or misleading information during registration or on their profile
• Attempt to contact investors or startups outside the Platform to circumvent commission obligations
• Share another user's personal or confidential information
• Use the Platform for any purpose other than genuine startup-investor matching
• Engage in any fraudulent, deceptive or harmful activity

8. Intellectual Property

All content on the Platform including text, graphics, logos, and software is the property of The Hook Hustlers and is protected under Indian intellectual property law. Users may not reproduce, distribute or create derivative works without prior written consent.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Platform is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. The Hook Hustlers does not guarantee any particular investment outcome, match quality, or deal closure. We are a matchmaking platform and are not a party to any investment transaction.

10. Governing Law & Jurisdiction

These Terms shall be governed by the laws of India. Any disputes arising from these Terms or use of the Platform shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of courts in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, India.
